Pondering

As I sit here and ponder
Over things I have said and done
I wonder if I will be commended
By the greater one?
Or should I have done it differently
With hindsight or a crystal ball
Guessing really
That no-one likes a know it all
Try to treat others as you
Would like to be treated
... ... Smile its good to share
Radiate some happiness
Warm by a fireside chair
Make another a hot drink
Put a bottle in the bed
Tell your friend she's looking good
Plump your cheeks bright red
Take the wheat from the chaff
The good from the bad
Plod on along the journey
Instead of worrying
What you have not had
No I can say quite happily
That I have done my best
Should that not be quite up to par
Then I will leave it to the rest
Perfection takes a wee while longer
If achieved if ever at all
I am happy with my lot in life
And I have given you my all.
